Relax in the spacious, elegant simplicity and open-concept design of the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom guesthouse. Completely renovated in 2016, guests relax in luxury, comfortable accommodations and privacy. A fully equipped kitchen, large indoor and patio dining areas make meals easy and enjoyable. Native plants and birdfeeders attract a wide variety of butterflies and birds. Beyond the fenced yard, deer can be seen in the mornings and evenings.
The grassy fields, stands of old growth oak trees, expansive scenery of the hills and rock ridge surrounding the area offer a diverse and unique view of the Texas Hill Country easily visible from the front pergola and deck, back patio and glider located under an oak tree on the gently sloping hillside. The natural habitat in the dappled morning sunlight and evening sunsets are breath-taking.
The land beyond the fenced yard is a managed wildlife habitat area, with special consideration given to endangered species. White-tailed deer (and the occasional Axis deer), turkey, fox, armadillo, skunk, squirrel, possum, raccoon and the inevitable snake are present. White-tailed deer can be seen year ‘round in the morning and evening.
Special thanks go to biologist Joyce Moore and others from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for their ongoing support.
Located just 5 miles north of Immergrun, the massive pink granite dome known as Enchanted Rock draw thousands of people each year. In addition to hiking, rock climbing and birdwatching, park guests can experience a nature hike or stargazing party led by a park ranger. The 360 degree view from the top and history of the epic formation and area give testament to the strength and perseverance of the early inhabitants, both Indians and settlers.
Only 33 counties in Texas comprise the entire breeding range in the world of an endangered species of songbird and our unique property, with its ridge, hardwood trees and mature Ashe Juniper, is the particular breeding and nesting habitat of the Golden-cheeked Warbler.
